Why FlowState?

People often reach for a glass of wine at the end of the day to help relax and unwind. With ALTINA, we give you that same experience, minus the alcohol. FlowState takes that a step further with the addition of L-theanine, an amino acid naturally found in green tea.

Keen to learn more? Read about the science behind L-theanine and check out our comprehensive Functional Drinks Guide.

FAQs

Like our ALTINA wines, FlowState Shiraz and Mango Spritzer begin with premium Australian wine, gently de-alcoholised and layered with botanicals for depth and complexity.

Our Yuzu Spritz takes a different approach, combining yuzu, green tea and apple cider vinegar to create a bright, sparkling wine alternative.

All three drinks contain our FlowState blend with L-theanine.

L-theanine is a well-researched, rare amino acid found in green tea. It's one of the ingredients in our FlowState range.

FLOWSTATE Shiraz: A full-bodied red with dark fruit notes, gentle tannins, and a peppery finish.

It's deliciously dry, with no added sugar, juice, or syrup.

FlowState is about enjoying the ritual of wine, without the alcohol. Pour yourself a glass, slow down a little and enjoy a moment to unwind.

Enjoy as you would a regular wine. Here are our suggestions.

Shiraz

Profile: Dark fruit notes, gentle tannins, and subtle spice. Pairs Perfectly with:

Slow-Cooked Lamb Shanks
Roasted Eggplant with Tahini & Pomegranate
Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt
Aged Cheddar or Manchego

Serve at room temperature in a red wine glass. Decant if desired. After opening, refrigerate and consume within 2 days.

Absolutely. The FLOWSTATE blend is the same, so you can swap between Shiraz, Mango Spritzer and Yuzu Spritz depending on your mood, meal, or setting.

Find our mixed bottle pack here, and our FlowState Taster Pack here.

FlowState is a non-alcoholic alternative to your usual glass of wine. It contains L-theanine, so if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have questions about regular consumption, we recommend checking with your healthcare professional.

FlowState Shiraz has a de-alcoholised wine base, meaning it contains less than 0.02% ABV, a level similar to natural fruit juices.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

THE AVEC STORY

We created ALTINA because we love wine… but we wanted it to love us back. For us, wine has always been about more than alcohol. It’s the glass in hand at the end of the day, the laughter with friends, the ritual of slowing down. But too often, alcohol didn’t fit the way we wanted to live.

That’s why we started ALTINA, to reimagine wine as a unique non-alcoholic experience layered with botanicals for depth and flavour.

AVEC takes that vision further, starting from premium Australian wine that is gently de-alcoholised, balanced with botanicals, and elevated by our FLOWSTATE™ blend.

It’s wine reimagined with science, designed to work with you. A ritual you know and love, made modern for the way you want to live today.

This is exceptional
I have tried many of the NA wine offerings over the years - with mixed reactions. Wine is slowly catching up to the NA beer options of which there are a number of excellent ones. However Altina is an absolute breakthrough! The AVEC FlowState Shiraz in particular is a stand out - it is so much more complex with real depth across the mouth. I love this, and the other Altina options.

Best alcohol free red that I’ve tasted
After considering trying the Altina wines for a long time I finally bit the bullet and gave them a go and I’m SO glad that I did! Most of us know how hard it is to find a decent alco-free red, this is the best I’ve tried, hands down. Complete lack of cordial/grape juice vibes and even a nice after taste like you’d get with a standard red wine. Definitely going to keep a stash on hand as I try and reduce my intake of the “hard stuff”

honestly surprised by how good this is !
My friend Sabeen recommended this to me and I’m so glad she did! It tastes amazing and genuinely gives me that same relaxed, wine-night feeling I’d normally get from a glass of wine. I don’t know if it’s placebo 😂 but either way, I absolutely love it. Such a good alternative that i’ve signed up for the wine club subscription.
